World Fishing Day on 23rd June 2018
The first ever World Fishing Day is on 23rd June 2018.
Fishing TV are launching the event after research reveals fishing is one of the life skills modern dads are no longer teaching their children. They hope to unite the angling community, bring more people into the sport and highlight environmental issues
World Fishing Day will be will be accompanied with a 24 hour broadcast on Fishing TV, from 24 different locations by Fishing TV and their global partners delivering a network of fishing events around the world.
TV presenter Matthew Wright, television journalist Fiona Armstrong and Sky Sports presenter Keith Arthur just some of the TV hosts confirmed to present the World Fishing Day live stream. April Vokey, Julian Lewis Jones, James Murray, Ian Chillcott, Babs Kijewski, Vala Arnadottir and Marina Gibson just some of the influencers confirmed to lend their support to World Fishing Day.
Fishbrain app and social network for anglers is confirmed as the official app partner for World Fishing Day.
The Angling Trust, The Wild Trout Trust, Atlantic Salmon Trust, Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing, Trout Unlimited, Bonefish & Tarpon Trust and Recreational Boating & Fishing Foundation (RBFF) are just some of the organisations confirmed as World Fishing Day collaborators to shed light on environmental issues, highlight the practice of sustainable fishing and demonstrate the positive influences angling can have on wellbeing.
