Jake & Nayns' Naansters Road Tested....
Team Get Hooked were delighted to try out Jake & Nayns' Naansters range of delicious curry filled light and fluffy naan bread. Available in four flavours, they can be eaten hot (in the microwave) or cold and they won't fall apart whilst eating them!
"Well these were a very nice change from a sarnie- I wasnt sure about the idea of cold curry at first but I'm happy with a cold pasty so I thought- why not! Tried the chicken balti one first and it does work- plenty of tang, just enough kick and it doesnt fall apart. I also liked the chickpea one as a vegetarian option. Now who doesn’t carry a microwave with them nowadays when they're out and about? I know I do! Next day I whipped it out of my knapsack to try the beef Madras one hot. The filling tastes great and the naan survives heating in a pack surprisingly well although for me the texture is better cold, especially when I am out fishing. Did it help me catch more fish… hard to say, but I didn’t need to leave my peg to get a tasty lunch!

All of the products can be enjoyed hot or cold, and need just 90 seconds in a microwave to provide a warming and hearty meal. The chicken used in Naansters is 100% British Chicken breast and each Naanster is made to perfection by hand.
Naansters was awarded gold in The Innovation Challenge at the 2017 Lunch! Awards, and were a finalist at the BIA (Baking Industry Awards) for Bakery Innovation of the Year. We think they make great food on the go!
