South Farm Holiday Cottages is an idyllic family holiday destination within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty less than an hour's drive from Exmoor or Dartmoor. The grounds are extensive with picnic tables and BBQ’s available and there is children’s play-area with trampoline and play tower.

The Wye & Usk Foundation's Auction has started...  It's Time to place your bids!

 This is a great chance to bid for some fantastic lots, ranging from guided fishing on some fantastic beats both within our catchment and beyond to exclusive shooting, cases of fine wine, holiday cottage breaks and even one of WUF's own world-famous Victoria sponge cakes!

The auction runs to midnight on Sunday 10th December 2017.

Rules, rules, rules. Theoretically, the Environment Agency is in favour of fishing – healthy outdoor sport, encourages respect for nature, spreads a tourist dollar or two, etcetera. But all its promotion is about fishing stocked ponds and lakes. When it comes to wild fishing, angling gets hobbled with so many restrictions it’s a wonder anybody bothers at all.

South West Fishing for Life - Blakewell Trout Fisheries - Barnstaple

South West Fishing For Life have started a new Fly Fishing group for breast cancer patients in North Devon.

Gillian Payne who founded the group says its offers support and new friendships for ladies that have had breast cancer or lymph node surgery.

Fly fishing not only provides gentle relaxing exercise, but in this wonderful atmosphere, refreshes the soul as well.

The group meet up every first Wednesday of the month 2-4pm at Blakewell Fisheries, Barnstaple, North Devon. No experience necessary.

Ruby's Orchard Camp - Sheepwash Devon

Ruby’s Orchard Camp.

Ruby’s Orchard is a rural easy-camp, set on the edge of  2 acres of woodland, near the village of Sheepwash  and the River Torridge in Devon. Day tickets to fish for Salmon, Sea Trout and Brown Trout are available from the Half Moon pub in the village.

We are an off-grid exclusive-use camp. So you get the whole place to yourselves! Hazel the Bell-Tent has double floor mattress and 2 single futon chair-beds, and if you want to bring another 4 people we can add a large Vango tent, also with mattresses. Minimum stay is 2 nights.
