Avon Springs is located by the River Avon in Wiltshire and offers superb Flyfishing on its two lakes totalling 8 acres. The flyfishing lakes are spring fed and well stocked with Rainbow Trout.
The 5 Acre gin clear Club Lake is stocked daily with rainbow trout from 2lb to double figures. 3 Acre Willow Lake offers excellent sedge, olive and mayfly hatches with two islands in a beautiful tranquil location.
1 mile of Upper Chalk Stream Avon Fishing is also available to compliment our Lakes ( For Upper Chalk Stream Avon Fishing please book through Simon Cooper of Fishing Breaks) - this is stocked with Brown Trout only, the majority are the original Avon Browns. There is also a good head of Grayling up to 3lbs. The river fishing boasts Fly hatches including mayfly, damselfly, sedge and many others. The beat can accommodate up to 4 rods, and is renowned for good brown trout and grayling. Immaculately cared for by the owners it has a high proportion of wild fish, plus fish reared on site that were the progeny of the original Avon native fish. The ‘dry fly only’ rule is in force until June 1st after which traditional nymphs may be used.
