Dorset Holiday Chalets, Gillingham - Dorset

Dorset Holiday Chalets are located in Gillingham, Dorset and offers self-catering holidays on a rural working farm. The four chalets are spacious, luxurious and homely making them ideal for families or couples. Each of the lodges are well equipped and sleep up to 6 people.

 

Duncliffe Chalet - This beautiful and spacious self-catering chalet is decorated to a high standard and has views overlooking the green fields and sleeps 6 guests. The interior is light and neutral with the majority of walls and ceilings clad with natural pine.

Duncliffe has an open planned kitchen which is well equipped and leads onto a lounge furnished in a contemporary style including leather reclining sofas, 32” flat screen TV and remote controlled stylish black glass corner fire. All 3 bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms either with a shower or bath with overhead shower. Duncliffe has its own six-seater hot tub on the veranda.

 

Melbury Chalet – With a lighter exterior shade compared to our darker Hardy and Wessex chalets,  this lighter pine is continued throughout the chalet to compliment the modern and contemporary interior. Well equipped large kitchen has been fitted with an integrated dishwasher, washing machine and fridge. In addition to the electric oven and hob, there is also a built in microwave. The spacious open plan lounge, dining area and kitchen is furnished in a contemporary style including leather reclining sofas, 32” flat screen TV, DVD player and remote controlled stylish black glass corner fire. The chalet has 3 bedrooms  (sleeping 6) – Master double, twin, and ground floor double all with ensuite with a shower or bath with overhead shower. Melbury Chalet has its own six seater hot tub on the veranda.

 

Wessex Chalet – Wessex Chalet sleeps 6 guests. The chalet has a spacious open plan kitchen, dining room and lounge which  looks out onto our green fields. Each of the bedrooms have their own ensuite bathrooms – The twin bedroom ensuite has been recently redecorated, now featuring a mirrored cabinet with an integrated bluetooth speaker. The Master bedroom boosts its own balcony where views of Dorset can be seen. The Chalet is fronted with gravel but has a tarmac path from the front door along one side to the veranda at the back. The back door from the veranda has a wooden ramp allowing easier access for a wheelchair. 

 

Hardy Chalet – Provides spacious accommodation for six people. Similar in style to Wessex Chalet, this well appointed chalet provides a quiet retreat from normal everyday life. On a clear day, from the upstairs master bedroom you can just about see King Alfred’s Tower in the distance which  is situated near the National Trust’s Stourhead. Inside Hardy the lounge, dining area and kitchen provide spacious accommodation for guests. The luxurious leather sofas include reclining seats with foot rests. The black glass real fire effect heating produces a lovely cosy atmosphere.

The master bedroom comes with ensuite bathroom includes shower over bath and heated towel rail. The first floor twin room has a pine sloping ceiling provides ideal space for clothes with hanging rails and shelves. It also has en-suite featuring a corner shower. The ground floor bedroom en-suite wet room, W/C and hand basin provides easier access for less able guests. 

 

Dorset Holiday Chalets are perfectly situated for exploring the county of Dorset close to a number of historical sights and beaches such as the Dorset Jurassic Coast, West Bay in Bridport and Chessil Beach at Weymouth.
